Connor Davidson's Official Site - Books, Articles and Info

I am a "read aholic" and read and read - to put it bluntly I'm a junkie.

Thus, I decided that I would make a list of the best books I have read.

  • Animal Farm, George Orwell – a carefully constructed allegory hinting at the “dark side” of Communism.
  • The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, J. R. R. Tolkien – a fantasy book chronicling a ring of absolute power with a deeper meaning.
  • Rhyme Time, Warwick Woodhead – traditional poetry at its best 100 poems that flow so well you find you’ve almost read 20 pages before you sit down.
  • Just Another Day, Adam Hart Davis – this book is about a typical day in the life of the author were he looks at the history and science behind everything he uses.
  • Burmese Days, George Orwell – a story of oppression, love, colonialism and corruption.
  • The Harry Potter books J.k. Rowling – you all know this one surely?
  • The QI “F” Annual – all things “F” are in this book from furniture to Franks in Space.
  • A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawing – from the nations favourite theoretical physicist come a great easy to understand guide to our universe.
  • The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins - a fantastically argued book that provokes thought on every level.
  • Physics of the Impossible, Michio Kaku - science at its best. Ever wondered about force fields, teleportation or  time travel? This book is for you. Think sci-fi is pure fantasy? This book is certainly for you.
